Great quality, strange fit
Wonderful quality and seemed warm, but not overly so. Strange fit. Smaller in shoulders and arms, and looser elsewhere. I could wear with a thin layer, but with a more typical sweater, the coat was uncomfortable.

Longtime Favorite
I had the long one about a year and then the shorter version about six years. I still prefer these over the other llbean coats. Recently returned the waterproof down because it was huge on me. This version is somehow more feminine.I recommend delicate wash and tumble dry on low 30 min. In outdoor temps below 25 F, you will need a sweater.

Wanted to love, but zipper keeps breaking
This is the second of these full length coats purchased for my daughter. The fit is wonderful and it is warm top to bottom, but twice the zipper teeth have fallen off. The first time was after only a week or so of use--the second was after one winter of use--the second winter she was in a warm climate and didn't use it, then returned to winter the following year and it instantly broke. LLBean exchanged the first coat in store, and offered to send the second one for repair for a fee, but the new zipper wouldn't be two-way, which is essential on a coat this long. For LLBean quality (the down and fabric are better (lighter, warmer, sturdier than a certain famous brand), I'm disappointed with the zipper issue, and only getting one winter out of it.

Light weight long puffer coat.
This is the first, petite sized, lightweight puffer coat that I have found. I live in SC, so winters are mild in general - 40s-50s. This is the perfect weight. I wore it yesterday on a raw, damp, high of 50 degrees day, and I was warm without being hot. ‘Puffer’ is a nice lightweight that is easy to move around and sit in the car with. Length is nice sitting just below the knees without being a maxi length. I’m 5’1” 120lbs and bought size Petite Medium. This gives me the room to wear a sweater under it. The color is true black. The neat plus is that it’s folds into itself making for easy packing. If I actually needed two coats here, I’d definitely order an additional extra coat and too add another color to my closet. This coat is true to the catalogue’s description..

Warm and toasty
Thin and warm. I’ve had my eye on this coat for a couple of years and finally bit the bullet and made the purchase. I can’t wait to wear it this winter. It is light and comfortable, I can feel the heat generating from it just by trying it on. I purchased a large and am between a 10-12, I wanted a little extra room for sweaters and other clothing to layer.
