For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Be realistic
I keep buying the slightly fitted while my skinny guy paunch gut grows. It pulls the sides out of my waistline. Maybe next time I’ll remember to buy the regular fit but my death grip on days gone by will likely say otherwise. Great shirt though. Comfy, warm. Stays true through many washes.

Shrinkage
Nice shirt until I followed the care instructions and dried it. Shrank an inch at least on the sleeves. $50 and ruined after one wear. I have a couple other flannels that have not been dried and they are still perfect. The laundered shirt shrank, now has a warped pattern, and is no longer as soft. I used the lowest heat setting (tumble dry) and still had this result. Am I a dumb consumer for following instructions? I feel like I threw $50 (plus shipping and tax) in the trash.
