Sucks
Buy a Johnson wool and you’ll thank yourself, fit is terrible, way to big. Bought a medium and a large. Large has sleeves for a gorilla and medium fits like a large.. almost but not really. Really really poor fit I sent both back and bought a quality Johnson woolen mill’s jack shirt for a few dollars more but is great quality and will last for years. LL. Bean has gone down hill so much over the years , it’s sad. Once iconic now just a tourist stop with imported garbage. I’m a life long Mainah, woodsmen, and now just down right disappointed.

Perfect if you are short and stocky
This jacket works great for me being short and stocky (5’6’’, 180 lbs). I went with a size large and did have to get the sleeves shortened. But the shoulders are a great width for me and it is not too long or baggy. Some jackets in this general style are usually too tailored with narrow shoulders or way too long for me. But this jacket does the trick.

Satisfied customer
This jack shirt is Awesome. The fit, Finnish and warmth are well worth the money. And the bonus is there is a large pouch in the back of the shirt for hat and gloves scarf etc. storage. Accessible from the zipper located on the right side of the shirt toward the back.

Exceptional Coat
This is called a jacket but it’s really a coat. Extremely warm with an excellent fit. I have the buffalo plaid and I’m going to get the green for deer bunting. Very high quality and worth every penny.

Old school vintage
Very few retailers have wool hunting garments anymore.
I found a few others and compared to this jacket.
For the price, this LLBEAN jacket is a standout from the rest.
The fit is perfect and it’s very warm especially when layered with some base layer clothing.
All pockets are fully functional and positioned where they should be.
The rear panel large cargo pocket is very versatile.
And the secondary shoulder front and back panel is awesome at keeping snow , rain and cold weather away from your body.
LLBean this is a home run jacket for active hunters.

Great Jacket
I just got this jacket and have worn it for three days in temps ranging from 32-50 degrees. Mine is a Large Tall and I am 6’3” and 210 lbs. I don’t think the wool is itchy at all. In fact, it’s pretty soft. It fits nicely over a dress shirt or that same shirt plus a sweater or a vest. I wear shirts with a 36” sleeve and was surprise that these sleeves are about 3/4” longer than I would want so I’ll take to an alterations shop so it fits just right. Suggested improvements are a zip pocket inside the jacket and to make the two flap pockets about an inch deeper. I think the grey wool with faint red plaid looks really nice.
