We make our sweats more durable and substantial from the start. We use a resilient fabric that's specially washed for minimal shrinkage - so you can order your true size and count on it to stay that way, for comfort that lasts (and lasts).

Fly zipper is terrific.
Love the fact that these sweatpants have a fly zipper. They are soft and very comfortable. The front pockets are deep enough to secure your valuables. nothing falls out. They also have a zipper back pocket on the right side to hold your wallet or handkerchief.

I could not quite give these a five star reason being like some guys my behind is a little bigger than it should be and these sweats have a low waist line if they could make a little bit higher waist line, I would give them five stars. They’re very comfortable They last forever so L.L. Bean if you read this, make the waist line just a little bit higher

Just what I was looking for
I ordered 2 on sale and held my breath. At 5'7" I find the LL Bean women's pants too short. I also think that men's clothes are made with a great design and tailoring. I was willing to pay more for men's quality. After 5 years in traditional sweats (my go-to for mid-Atlantic winters) that were a pain to take down with a knot in the cord, I thought these would work.
Amazing. The waist with the elastic is small enough to stay over my hips and the tailoring eliminated the bulge in front and back when regular sweats are pulled tight with the cord. Generally I would take a 31" inseam but there weren't any available, so I opted for the 32" because I was desperate. I expected length shrinkage. Yes, they are probably a bit big (I available I might have chosen a smaller size) but I can pull them up over my pyjama bottoms to take the dog out for a 2 am crisis potty break.
Sadly, when I went back to buy 2 more pairs I found that they are back ordered to March-- only navy and grey for spring. I was very disappointed.
In the fall I may try a smaller size and shorter length to see if it works for a season when I won't need as much coverage. (I expected them to be a bit large which is why I said the size was right-they were as expected)
For now, these are the high point of my winter.

A Little Itchy
Just as advertised and perfect fit, however, my husband who is allergic to many fabrics, says they make his legs itch; hoping he will be able to wear them for short periods of time.

Great bur small sizing
Found the pants very warm with the lining and the fly zipper was the reason for this order. HOWEVER, I find the pants run small. I wear an XXL in practically every pair of pants or shorts but these. I had to exchange for a XXXL to fit conformtably. I had a pair of XL sweats that after years became a little tight and figured a size up to XXL would fit. I found them to be as small as my previous XL pair. Don't know if change of manufactoure or just saving material but wish sizing was consistent.
