Game Changer
So glad I upgraded and bought this fantastic 8 weight rod for pike and bass. Appreciate all the nice details; such as the ferrule alignment guides and overall quality. Seems to suit my casting style better and would describe as fast-medium.

Well worth it
Very well built and a nice rod tube. Definitely comparable to a rod I have from one of those "other brands" at a higher price point. I've only lawn casted it so far, but headed to Canada soon for some small mouth action!

Stunning Rod
This is a stunning rod and so far has performed beautifully. I'm not an experienced fly fisherman, and still learning to cast. That said, this rod can really shoot the line out. It's accurate and has been a blast throwing large flies on so far. Can't wait to keep putting it to the test, but it handles big largemouth well! The finish on it is classic and just gorgeous in the sun. My only wish is that L.L. Bean would start stocking fishing stuff in stores in Canada, perhaps then I'd have a reason to go to a Bean store in person instead of buying online.
