Our twist on a classic, with authentic cable designs from the Aran Islands. Updates include an open neckline, longer length and stylish side zips. In crispy cotton yarns that are substantial and reach further into the seasons than traditional wool.
We chose densely-knit cotton yarns to give our tunic sweater three-season appeal. It's a little longer and more relaxed than traditional fisherman sweaters, offering supreme comfort and easygoing style.

Warm and attractive sweater
I usually buy turtleneck sweaters, but I really like this and the way it fits. Great quality! The only reason that I didn't give this sweater 5 stars is because on me, the neckline was a bit too wide. Looks good with a shirt.

Very pleased!
This sweater is very thick and warm -- I was afraid the fit would be too tight but it fits like a dream! I have a larger bust (38C) and short waist, and usually take a large in women's sizes. However, based on my measurements and other reviews I ordered a petite medium and it's perfect. My first LL Bean purchase and I'm VERY happy!

I have been looking at this sweater online for over ten years now. I read through a lot of the other reviews prior to purchase so I thought my expectations were met. I agree with most on the boxy fit - this does tend to flare out at the hips and does not have a fitted look. The yarn is not necessarily soft, the weight is lighter. Definitely more of a spring / summer / fall staple on its own, I plan to pair it with a flannel shirt during the winter for extra warmth. Beautiful detail, I hope it lasts me years and years! Agree with also sizing down. I wear more mediums than smalls but purchased a small and it fits great.

It’s a dress
This isn’t a sweater it’s literally a dress. It’s a dress. I’m so disappointed I thought this would be the best sweater, and it literally fits like a dress. It is so unnecessarily long. I ordered a large I am 5’10 170 postpartum I thought it would be a cute oversized sweater instead it is entirely too big and soooo long. I’m just so disappointed on how long it is. It can’t be worn with jeans it’d look like I was wearing a dress with jeans it has to be worn as a dress. Ugh. This isnt a sweater it’s a dress.

Disappointed in Sizing and Fabric
The Women's Fisherman Tunic sweater was a disappointment, both in sizing and fabric, and I would not recommend it. The cotton was very coarse and not soft. Also, I purchased a small and it was miles too big. I am surprised this item received 4 1/2 stars.
