Most righteous vest!!!!
I am not going to lie to you. This is the most righteous vest that I own, and when I say that, I have to tell you that I am a vest guy. I mean, I'm not the most vest guy. My dad is the most vest guy. I only have six vests. He's got well north of ten vests. I found ten. I think he's hiding a few more. He's like that. A minimalist he is not. He thinks if I knew he had twenty vests, I would throw half of them out. I wouldn't, but I would yell at him. Anyway, back to this vest.
This vest is the most righteous of my six vests, and if I may say so, it is also more righteous than all of my dad's ten(known) vests, which makes it number one of sixteen vests in my world. It's appropriately warm. It fits me perfectly. It has a plethora of pockets. It is very well made. It is the perfect all around vest, and I wear it more than all of the others put together.
A couple of notes:
I wish the zipper was a bit heavier, but that's a minor quibble.
It's waxed cotton, but it is a light waxed cotton. If you are looking for a heavy waxed cotton for crawling around in the brush with a herd of wild boar, this isn't it. It's meant to be a bit more comfortable and warmer than heavy waxed cotton, and it fills that role perfectly.
I prefer one of my other vests for sleeping in, so if you are looking for a vest to sleep in, this probably isn't your best choice. But other than that one use case, this vest is THE vest. I love it! Thank you, L.L.Bean!!
