Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bean boots in Whitetail Season Bought these boots last year and hunted 2 years with them now. They’ve been great until this year. First time using them to hunt in significant snowfall. Boots are warm enough as long as you don’t stop moving. Sitting still for more than an hour and my toes would start to freeze even with the warmest wool sox I use. Toe warmers can remedy this but I hate using them. I believe I shouldn’t have to in a quality boot. The right boot has also started to leak water, not sure from where but I noticed it had gotten noticeably colder than the left one and when I took it off it was damp and wet beyond accounting for just moisture. I really love these boots and wanted them to be my do all Maine hunting shoe, but alas here I am writing this review before I buy a pair of Muck boots from Tractor supply :(. I think resoling them could fix the water proofing but I’d love to see a boot offered with just a little thicker insulation, they just aren’t warm enough around the foot with that thinsulate. I’ll still hunt with them just only when temps are above freezing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dedicated to Quality and Comfort I expected and received a high quality boot. They are also more comfortable than my old Bean boots bought many many years ago. I am delighted to see that some of the old Bean traditions and dedication to quality still exist.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the fleece! Fit was uncomfortable. The liner bunches at the tongue you don’t really need liner there. If the fleece boots had a sewn tongue all the way to the top on each side so when you step in water it does not flood in both sides of the laces on each side. The way the fleece boots are constructed you have made a 10’ high boot the equivalent to a 2”-3” inch high boot, which makes a boot a shoe. Join the tongues all the way to the top on both sides and this would improve the product immensely, for anyone who really spends time off city streets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Winter Boots These are the best winter boots. I have been wearing this model for ~25 years- only on my second pair. They are light & quiet, warm with the Thinsulate liner, and waterproof with the Goretex liner. Use them for going back and forth to work, shoveling the driveway, and even wearing to church with a suit, when situations call for it. I am not a hunter but if I was, this would be my choice. I buy my normal size 10, medium width, and wear the LL Bean boot socks underneath- they fit perfect. Try them; you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pair of boots with good ankle support. These boots are comfortable and warm. You'll not be disappointed. I take a 10W and they were right on the money and good with a heavy sock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maine hunting shoe. Insulated These boots are very comfortable and warm. I ordered my regular size at first as recommended with the insulated boots. However, they were still too big so I exchanged them for the next size down and they fit perfectly. I’m from Texas so thick socks aren’t really necessary, especially with these boots being insulated. Would definitely recommend these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I have had these for several years and I love them. I had an old pair of the regular insulated/Gore-Tex boots which I gave to my son. I bought these and like them more than the older pair. I hunt in Southeast Georgia river swamps, so it is not terribly cold very often. These are warm and dry. You can walk in them all day long like all Bean boots. Because of the Thinsulate and thick socks they fit a little more true to size for me. I am 63 and have been wearing Bean boots since I was a teenager mail ordering from the catalog. These will last me forever, since I do not have to wear them often because of our mild temperatures down here. I do put some Snow Seal on them every few years. I put Snow Seal on all of my Bean boots.
