Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for mid-range 20-50F temps This works great for what I wanted it for: the 20-50F range for hiking and general use. For colder temps I use a down parka. Waterproof is a plus so I don't have to weigh whether rain is likely (not a problem at lower temps). It's a good length, current version has a 2-way front zipper, a removable hood, and comes in Don't-Shoot-Me bright red. A good upgrade would be to include some insulation over the front pockets so they could double as hand warmers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and warm. Good fit with some room for layering underneath. The parka is warm and a good wind blocker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but heavy for skiing I gave it to my son for a gift. He said it was too heavy and exchanged it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Velcro enclosures destroy knit and fleece gloves This coat's velcro enclosures have ruined several pairs of knit gloves and knit hats over the past 4 years since I purchased it. Just purchased a new pair of LL Bean Primaloft Therma-Stretch Fleece Gloves and with just one wearing with this coat I discovered the coat's velcro already caught and made abbrasions on the back of one of the gloves. LL Bean needs to nix the velcro enclosures!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Parka! Excellent warm light weight Parka!! This is my 3rd one over a 40 year period of buying LL Bean gear. I do miss the upper chest hand warming pockets and the zip chest pocket on my new parka is smaller than the older one, and my phone will not fit in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for NJ winters! Great jacket. Warm, yet light and not bulky. I like the gray/black color combo. The gray is more steel colored than just gray. The zippers are flat and nice, good to have removable hood
