Not quite right for me
I really liked everything about this jacket: removable liner, inside chest pocket, warmth level. But the hood is crazy big, and even after adjusting it, I still couldn't see. So the hunt for a waterproof jacket continues!

Not as expected
Sadly I just returned this coat. It was a replacement for the same item purchased a number of years ago. I found that the new coat was narrower from the waist down- measured against the original. It was a matter of inches but it made a difference.

Perfect for all weather.
Love the length, the color and the fit. Worn it in the pouring rain and stayed dry. Perfect for home and travel.

Strange fit; downscale materials for LLBean
Very weird, boxy fit - sleeve were too long (and I have very long arms), wide shoulders, no shape through body, length rather short with a strange curved hem. Materials also were of disappointing quality - poor drape and low water resistance. Liner was flimsy and too lightweight to be of much use. Not even close to a keeper at this price point.

First time LL Bean Epic fail (on me)
My rating on this is just strictly my experience with this particular product, it's not a reflection of LL Bean. I LOVE LL Bean, the quality, the customer service, let me also share this is the first time this has happened to me. Usually I am able to go from LL Bean shipping box to suitcase without any issues. I'm glad my purchase was to replace a previous worn out LL Bean raincoat and that this item was not needed for a trip. I'm a teacher that has outdoor duty and thought I'd upgrade to the Prima loft lined raincoat. The fails, I bought the usual XL, in order to make this look somewhat cute I had to cinch it tight, resulting in it enhancing my chest, puckering at the belly button, then ballooning out at the bottom making me look pregnant. The sleeves were also a little too short for my liking. What I did love was the hood, it was designed to give good coverage. I was able to secure it in back with the velcro and cinch it around my face so that I was able to be aware of my surroundings without having to rotate my head. In the end I felt frumpy and it seemed I was trying to engineer a rain coat using a tent and a belt. I am reluctant to order down a size due to the sleeves already being short and the chest area not being very spacious.

My wonderful new raincoat
I bought this for a March trip to Ireland next year but test drove it on a rainy day in Princeton. I was completely warm and dry and the fit and comfort were perfect! I have a home in Maine so this will get plenty of wear!

It fits!
It fits! I have hard time with clothing because I have a small stature. The coat is perfect for cool weather rain or shine. I am very pleased with my new coat.
