Product Details
Our heaviest-weight flannel. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. And it still gets better with age. In fact, customers rave about the "impeccable quality" and tell us that these shirts just get more and more comfortable over the years.
- Expertly brushed eight times on each side for exceptional softness.
- 7.5 oz. Portuguese cotton flannel.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Double-stitched seams for toughness.
- Original angled pockets and cross-stitched buttons.
- Unbreakable buttons.

Beans chamois shirt
Beans Chamois Shirts are the best on the market. They are soft and the chamois material is heavy weight and warm. The shirt launders well wont shrink and will stay that way and will last for a very long time. I have a closet full of them.

Comfy, double pocket and warm
Nice shirt, longer than i needed. Don't assume your size based on other flannels, whether or not they're in the same 'class' (i.e. chamois, scotch, katahdin, etc). I should not have gotten a tall size. I have skinny frame at 6'1" 155lbs and the medium reg would have been perfect. However, the katahdin model would have been too small at a medium reg.

Great looking shirt
I got this size large shirt for my husband’s birthday. He is 5’8” and weighs 158 #. He loves Bean chamois shirts and has quite a collection. It fits great and looks great on him. The picture in the catalog and online don’t do it justice. I was pleasantly surprised to see the colors in the plaid and it is now his favorite.

Good shirt runs large
Great shirt. These seem to run large. I have an old "large" from several years ago that I never wore because it looked like it came out of David Byrnes closet. This time around I got a medium and it fits great. I always buy large but not in this case. Other than that it's a great shirt but noticeably lighter weight than the old one I still have (that was never worn). Old shirt has a heavy cardboard-ish feel to it, new one doesn't. So minus 1 star since it's really just a heavier flannel, like what I used to get as a standard flannel back in the grungie 90s.

What more can you ask?
Chamois shirts are wonderful to have. They fit beautifully, and they even bring warmth as you put them on.

Men’s chamois shirt
A warm shirt that can work as a very light jacket. I haven’t taken it off.

Great shirt with a caveat.
Love this shirt...soft fabric and warm. My only complaint is that my original order size L (my normal size in Bean shirts) was too big. The medium fit perfect.

Wow!
This chamois shirt knocked my husband’s socks off!! It fits perfectly, with room to breathe without being huge, and it is beautiful! The very fine, small plaid works very well for this shirt — it has become my husbands “going out” shirt, for restaurants with friends.
