These boots are wonderful. Cute yet rugged. High quality material. As with all of these types of bean boots, purchase a size smaller than you normally wear.

Good and bad. Mostly good.
I like a lot of things about these boots. They fit well. I like the way they look. They seem to be made really well too. That being said…the comments about how difficult they are to put on and take off because of the tongue being sewn in are all true. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me because I got the boots at a great price and there are so many other things I like about them but it is kind of annoying so beware.

I received these awesome boots in record time & I absolutely love them!! They fit slightly big, but they'll be fine with shearling inserts or thick warm socks.

Perfect boot!
I got these for Christmas, and absolutely LOVE them! I consistently wear a 7 1/2 in most shoes, and ordered an 8 at first - needed to go down to a 7 for the perfect fit. I live in Alaska and these shoes are great in winter with a thick sock for running errands/being out for short periods with a thick sock, excellent for our break up season (think puddles everywhere!), and I already know they will be great for summer activities like four wheeling, light hikes, camping - all the places I know I’ll hit that muskeg and sink down in some wet ground. Absolutely love them, great for my skinny ankles too, super cute. Heel is the perfect height.

Weird tongue
The design of the sewed-down tongue makes it unable to lie flat. It also makes the boot a little harder to get on without unlacing it most of the way down. The true test will come this summer when I wear them on a month-long wilderness canoe trip.

SO HAPPY I GOT THESE (and on sale!)
I have several other pairs of Bean boots (different heights/styles). To be fair, 1 or 2 of them I REALLY struggle getting my foot in (it's almost a battle ... but I persist in the hope that one day they will stretch enough ... they are too cute NOT to engage in battle ;-) ). Because of that, I ordered 1 size larger than normal. To give you an idea -- I usually wear a 7.5 in regular shoes (8-8.5 in Asics gym shoes). In the past, I would generally order 6 (depending on the recommendations which you should ALWAYS read). This time, I ordered a 7. NO FIGHTING to get my feet in! Yippee! The look is very good IMO. Reminds me a bit of my Doc M's. Very pleased with these.

8 Years Later!
I purchased these bison boots eight years ago and they still look brand new! I live in the Midwest so I used them every winter. These boots keep my feet dry and warm. These boots run true to size. I wear a USA women size 6 1/2 and a European size 37. I can only wear thin socks with these boots, which is fine for my needs. The boots’ traction is great. The bison leather is absolutely gorgeous! The red soles stand out and look amazing with the bison leather. I have received numerous compliments over the years when I wear these boots. I clean, condition, and waterproof my bison boots every six months. I haven’t had to purchase boot laces. I swap between the two provided laces every six months after cleaning. I highly recommend the bison boots.

So comfortable!!
I got these as a gift and they immediately became my favorite shoes to wear. They are amazingly comfortable, I don’t even notice I’m wearing them! I love the gusseted front panel in place of a regular tongue because I don’t have to worry about it staying in place. And the brick red sole is gorgeous with the dark brown bison leather. Highly recommend!!
