These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

This is generously sized. I bought my regular size and even with a turtleneck underneath it is still roomy. Size down if you'll be wearing it without a base layer.
Love that sleeves are long, have had problems with other LLB tops where sleeves or truck length are too short. This shirt could even shrink and it would still fit.
Flannel is nice mid weight, not too heavy and not flimsy or thin.

My favorite flannel
I have quite a few of these flannels from LL Bean, and this one is my favorite.
These shirts are soft and very comfy. I usually wear them with a layering tank or a Pima cotton t-shirt, both from Bean, and they are the best sets to wear. I ordered the large; I like extra room in my shirts, so I upsize these. The best care is to wash in a gentle cycle, air dry in the dryer for 10 minutes without heat, and hang to dry from there. The royal red plaid is like a crushed raspberry color but with more intensity and a brighter hue.
