Good Parka, Tall Size Never Available?
The Parka is great, BUT I had to get an X-large for sleeve length because you don't have Large Tall, so the body fit is a bit billowy. When I inquired I was told "maybe" you'll have Large Tall available in Fall 2025.

Zipper ruined an otherwise excellent coat
Just bought this coat and I am disappointed. As many have already correctly pointed out, the cheap plastic zipper is very difficult to use. Lining up the left plastic pin with the right metal box requires a lot of time, effort and patience - which is unacceptable for a $400+ coat. You’d think LL Bean would fix this issue based on all the negative feedback.

Well made with heavy duty materials.
This parka is very warm and very, very well made. Heavy duty fabrics and construction. However, the pockets are not placed for putting one's hands in to keep warm. The bottom pockets are too low and the upper pockets open in the wrong direction. Nevertheless, if you wear gloves, it will keep you warm.

My New Maine Wardens Parka
I debated with myself for months to justify
purchasing this parka due to the fact that I had never consider paying $429.00 for a coat for myself. I am head over heels in love with everything about it now. I have been wearing it for a week long visit to Iceland at Christmas time, and I couldn't be happier. It's wonderful in rain, snow, ice, wind, etc. Thank you LL BEAN!

I’ve owned two of them
The first one that I had was an older style but still had most of the items this one has but after about eight years the down didn’t have the loft it had when I purchased it. Beans traded me that one for this newer one about six years ago and I’ve been wearing it ever since. Down has held its loft and it’s still just like the day I took it out of the package. You’ll never go wrong with this parka. All the storage needed and made from the best materials for hunting, camping or dealing with the most extreme weather conditions. One of the best parkas available and Beans will stand behind it.

Great coat!
I bought this for my partner who usually wears a size medium. It runs a little large on him even allowing for a bulky sweater underneath. But apart from the slightly large sizing, this is an incredible coat. He loves all of the pockets and the versatility--there's also a removable snow shield that zips onto the inside of the gortex layer. And it's been very warm for the 10-15 degree weather that we've been having.
I can see how as only a raincoat, the gortex layer might be a little awkward in the summer since the hood is insulated as well. But for the winter it's working out great
