Great Barrel Leg Pants
I'm giving them 4 starts instead of 5 for one reason. I'm between a regular XL and 18W, I wish there was a bit more stretch in the waist. I'm short and ordered the regular size, and the length is just perfect for me, they are not short in any way.
I bought the shadow green and plan on ordering the dark khaki soon.
Don't change the style, they are exactly what barrel legs are supposed to be!

Great pants!
Shadow green color. Loving these looser fitting pants. I went with a petite size and they are about ankle length which is perfect. I like the pockets which are slightly fuzzier material (mesh actually). The waist is comfortable and you can do a full squat in these without the material being tight. These also have a nice shape to the legs. Great sized pockets too! Hope they come out with other colors in these.

improvement to the explorer to stop straight leg
I love the explorer rip stop material but found the straight leg women's version too baggy in the seat and I did not like the single security pocket in front and back welt pockets where the men's version has 2 zippered security pockets. The tie over the button also just made them confusing--is it a pant for style, athletics, hiking...?
I am much happier with the cargo pocket options on these and the one zip back pocket (2 would be better!) And the fit, while definitely a stylized silhouette, is more interesting than the straight leg. Additionally, these having a button and partially elasticized waist makes them more versatile vs a tie-front pant--i can wear them with something a bit nicer like a split neck polo or sweater, or I can dress them down w a t shirt
Do take note that in both styles of explorer rip stop fabric, the darker colors fit slightly tighter than the light khaki, probably due to the way it absorbs in the fabric

Not a hiking pant - catches on bushes. Great garden pant to hold tools in clear garden rows. Added padding in hems is odd. Need more color options!

balloon pants
The waist fit well, length perfect, loved the material. But the pants - the excess material needs to be addressed in the next revision. The pants ballooned out right from the hips rather than from mid thigh and it's not a good look. There was way too much excess material around the legs. This one's a miss.

My other two pairs of pants fit perfect. This one was to short and didn't fit in the waist. Irregular size for that much money.
