Basic and Beautiful
I made the review title "Basic and Beautiful" because, to me, this is a basic blouse that can be worn casual or dressy. What I personally LOVE about it is that it has long sleeves on me. A woman with longer arms, per the model, will have the sleeves above wrist, but because I have short arms, the sleeves are exactly full length. In summer, in air conditioning, I feel cold, and the weight of this blouse, the cotton, is perfect to feel cool outside but a little protected in air conditioning. The blouse is made in Indonesia and is tropical-weight cotton, not the tissue-thin Indian type cotton, but one grade up, so not clearly see-through, but very breezy, a blessing in hot, humid weather. I washed the blouse by hand and line dried it, and there was no shrinkage, dried fast too, even in a cold room. Tag says machine washable, tumble dry, but I'll make the effort to hand wash because I am so grateful to have this. Wrinkling is minimal and what little there is appears as part of the weave. The stripe in the weave is very pretty and adds texture. I am 5'3'' and weigh 118 lbs., 36-inch bust, and the size Small fits perfectly. The "Sailcloth" is not white but cream. Also, the length is 23 inches from back of neck to hem, which is perfect for me because I am short.
