Best quality shoes Ever!
you have over 1200 people with 5 stars reviews, come on LL Bean what's the matter with you? Why would you not continue to manufacture these shoes. Even if you had to charge more. I do not understand the inferior quality you are putting on your shelves!!!

Mixed colors
I bought this item some time ago and held it in reserve since the Allagash Oxfords I was using at the time had plenty of wear left in them and I wanted to keep these to use for dressier occasions. I should have taken them out of the box and looked more carefully at them. They were a mismatched pair. One looks just like the photos for the raisin color. The other has a mixture of raisin color and blonde colored pieces of leather stitched together. It looks like it was stitched in the dark. I'll wear them anyway since I don't like the hassle of returning items. They still fit fine and I can always relegate them to work duty. Just heed this as a warning. Check the color matching on the leather with these.

Love these shoes
I've purchased a few pairs of these shoes over the years. They have always worn well, except for the soles, as mentioned in other reviews. I've had the soles replaced on previous pairs, but I'm at a point where I wanted a new pair. Very disappointed they are no longer available.
