(SPEECH)

[00:00:09.68] I've only camped once with Whitney and that was a year ago. So I'm really good at camping, but camping with kids is totally different.

(SPEECH)

[00:00:30.96] Today, we are hopefully going to not have any kids get hurt. But camping, fishing, making some s'mores, hanging out outside, and having some fun with our friends.

(DESCRIPTION)

[00:00:43.74] Setting up tents.

(SPEECH)

[00:00:44.55] It's nice to have a crew of people that are all kind of like looking out and all kind of in the same boat too. Everybody's got kids, and we're all just watching out for each other's kids and our own. And it all works out, I think, actually, really well.

[00:00:58.95] We're going to do this. Perfect.

[00:01:01.38] Little net monkeys.

[00:01:03.03] Oh, night, night.

[00:01:04.80] There we go. Hey, Whitney, can you help me hammer?

[00:01:07.33] You want me to do it? Say, 1, 2, 3.

[00:01:09.59] Two.

[00:01:10.03] Go.

[00:01:10.65] Let's walk out to the point.

(DESCRIPTION)

[00:01:11.82] Putting a toy boat in the water.

(SPEECH)

[00:01:17.87] I won't cross lines, buddy.

(DESCRIPTION)

[00:01:19.50] Family fishing with toddler.

[00:01:23.39] [MUSIC PLAYING]

(DESCRIPTION)

[00:01:24.71] Close-ups show dark blue rippling water and trees. A woman picks up sticks with her toddler.

(SPEECH)

[00:01:31.42] I would say, I'm actually much better camping with Indy than I am just hanging around the house with Indy. I think that's where we have the best time as a family, where we have the best time of it's just Indy and I, or whether my mom is with us. I think that's-- I don't know. It's just always a little bit of a different energy. And yeah, I think it's always a good time.

(DESCRIPTION)

[00:01:54.49] Campfire.

(SPEECH)

[00:01:55.00] Indy, mama's going to get you your own water, OK?

[00:01:57.85] Oh, I think there'll be some meltdowns for sure. There's always going to be some chaos, but I think the kids will all play, and the parents will all get to relax a little bit. And it'll go off without too many hitches.

[00:02:09.91] [MUSIC PLAYING]

(DESCRIPTION)

[00:02:11.16] The two families roast marshmallows together at dusk. Close-ups of the toddlers show them drinking juice boxes and cuddling with their families. A toddler bumps her head on a lantern hanging down inside a tent.

(SPEECH)

[00:02:23.90] Oh, aww. Yeah, let's stop. Yeah, shh, time to be quiet and come into night, night, OK?

[00:02:34.07] Yeah.

[00:02:34.79] There. Night, night, little one. Night, everyone.

[00:02:40.61] Good night, everyone.

[00:02:43.10] [MUSIC PLAYING]

(DESCRIPTION)

[00:02:43.10] A toddler lies down on a pillow on the floor of the tent.

[00:02:46.67] Now morning, a family sits together in the tent.

(SPEECH)

[00:02:50.07] I think my advice for parents wanting to do anything outdoorsy or hike or camp with kids is just to try it and understand that sometimes it's hard, but it's always fun. And in the end, those are the things you remember most. And those are our favorite memories are some of those really challenging nights-- when in the moment, it's difficult. It's so fun.

[00:03:13.56] Camping with your kids is totally worth it. When you're at home, it's not hard to connect, but there's other distractions. And when you're out in nature, there's just so much less going on.

[00:03:22.59] Yeah, you just have to do it. That's the thing. I think once you do it, you realize it's not that big of a deal. And you're better for it.

[00:03:29.42] [MUSIC PLAYING]
