So Disappointed With This 3/4 Length Coat
The gray color is attractive and the size petite small fits well. I would not wear this coat in the woods or while doing outdoor chores. The fabric does not feel substantial enough to survive brushing against thorny branches and would snag on any rough surface. The side pockets are nicely placed at waist level but are so shallow it would be easy to lose gloves or anything else placed within the pockets. The double zipper ends about 5 - 6 inches from the coat hem. That provides some additional ease of movement but the zipper creeps up so that it doesn’t stay zipped to the bottom. The odd zipper placement actually makes it more difficult for those with arthritis or other hand disability to engage the zipper. The neck storm flap is a great idea but it’s way too big and not functional for a petite size woman. The inner cuff is a great feature especially when not wearing gloves but it ends up pulling the inside fabric past the sleeve hem so that it looks messy and unkempt. I purchased this coat to replace an LLBean 3/4 length ultra warm coat that I bought about 10 years ago. That old coat still looks good but the zipper is finally starting to wear out - after 10 long, harsh winters. This new coat is not worth what it cost and does not represent the quality I expect from LLBean.

Excellent Coat Plus Size
I just recieved my Dusty Rose plus size 2X ,Ultra warm Insulated Coat, love that it's lightweight compared to other mid length winter coats. Also one of the best hoods ever.Has a pull out peak to keep the rain ,snow & wind out of your eyes.Fits very comfortable.

Wanted to love it…
I tried this coat in multiple sizes, in regular and petite, but ended up returning them all. I wanted to love this coat but for the price felt it could be better made. I actually bought this coat in full length in the early 2000’s. The coat being sold today has the exact same design as the one I bought ~2006. The inside pocket is still designed for a flip phone! My main deal breakers were that the outside pockets are too shallow where you can easily lose things, and the Velcro on the hood catches on things or otherwise flaps around since they aren’t attached to anything. Plus side is the coat is warm and the zipper is sturdy. LLBean, can you please update this coat?! You’d have a winner!

A hit with teen granddaughter
I bought this coat for my 16 year old granddaughter and it has been a hit. She often would go out without a coat, but this winter she has been more than happy to cozily wear this to the bus stop and beyond.

Good winter coat
Warm, lightweight winter coat in plus size. Good length, and sleeves are long enough. Wish there were metal snaps on the edges of the hood instead of velcro, which catches on gloves.
