For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.
- Each color is carefully matched to the historical tartans in the Scottish registry.
- Authentic tartans are yarn-dyed for lasting color.

Great looking, warm shirt, but...
Lovely shirt with one minor issue. It runs large, and it is very, very long. I ordered a tall size, as I am over 6 feet tall. It is easily my longest shirt...tails end closer to my knees than my waist.

Beautiful Shirt but Too Big
This shirt just arrived and I love the feel and color. Unfortunately the fit is not right. I am 5'8" and 155 lbs and wear medium in everything I own. The Medium in this shirt provided me with nearly 12" total of extra fabric on the sides but the sleeves fit perfectly. I will have to return this.

Prices Go Up and Quality Goes Down
I was very disappointed in the two flannel shirts I purchased. I always wash new clothing before wearing. After following all washing directions, there was significant piling on both shirts before they were worn even once. LL Bean’s flannel used to be much better quality. The prices go up and the quality sinks.
