Tried and true original fit
These are the same pants I’ve been buying for years, primarily for summer wear. Every time one pops through at the knee, I purchase another. They fit me well and are comfortable. Not too tight in the legs and seat, but waist stays in place. I wish LL Bean would offer more styles of pants in “original fit,” including the nonelastic version of these. i don’t find the elastic objectionable, however.

Excellent Quality but the elastic doesn't stay in
I LOVE the quality of the pants. But the elastic in the waist is very weird. It doesn't stay in place and is very flimsy. I don't like this at all.
Can anything be done to fix this? I would love to just send the pants back that I bought and then once fixed have them sent back. What do you think of about this?

Wear like iron
Last time i purchased these pants was a least ten years ago. I wear a pair every day to work.. It is my "uniform" with an oxford blouse. I work with young children and they wash up well with minimal pressung.

Bayside Twills are a wardrobe staple
Bayside Twills in khaki are a style and color I have worn several times over the years. After reading the reviews I did order a size larger than I usually wear, since the waist was reported to be smaller. The the larger size fit perfectly.

Nice pants
These are great pants; the fabric is perfect for fall/winter and washes/line dries with no problems at all. They fit very well; the combination of rear elastic and height in the waist means no binding even when I get down on the floor with the grandkids. I like how I can dress them up or down for whatever occasion. And it's very easy to move in them without the ick factor of "stretch" (for those like me who want their clothes to feel true and not to shed microfibers into our environment). I had to size up to get enough room in the hips and when these are fully stretched out, as 100% cotton does, they are very roomy, but I'll take that happily in order to get the natural fiber. The navy is very dark, almost black. I bought another pair in khaki because these are now my go-to's for "nice pants".

Desperate for a tall size
I like the quality of LL Bean products. However, regarding women’s pants, I wish you’d make a tall size. Medium tall doesn’t fit me comfortably. Inseam is a bit short and so is the rise. I dislike a mid rise. I’m 65 and don’t want to dress like a “20 something “. I will continue to purchase tops and other products. I’ll give 2 stars, but only because of sizes available.
