Featuring the moccasin-like feel that L.L.'s original hunting shoes had in the woods, our legendary Maine-made boots have the comfort and protection you need - whether you're bird hunting on a muddy tote road or walking the dog on a slushy sidewalk.
- With light or midweight socks: Whole sizes, order one size down. Half sizes, order 1½ size down. Example: 9 or 9½, order a size 8. With heavyweight socks: Whole sizes, order your normal size. Half sizes, order one size down. Example: 9 or 9½, order a size 9.
The original Maine Hunting Shoe was Leon Leonwood Bean's first product, introduced in 1912. Over the years, we've made lots of improvements to these boots, but hunters have told us that they miss the moccasin-like feel that our original boots had in the woods. So we set out to bring it back.

Had been wanting a pair of bean boots for years. After a few pairs of “knockoffs”…I finally bought a real pair and I love them! Fit like a glove and wish I’d bought them years ago! I didn’t realize what I was missing!

Solid and worthy. Love these!
I have been wanting one of L.L. Bean's iconic boots from the first time I saw them over ten years ago. Unfortunately, my feet are wide and they just never really had the wide options in the past. Or if they did, I just never saw them. Fast forward 10 years, and I catch a glimpse of an L.L. Bean boot on one of my favorite Youtube influencers (coalcracker bushcraft, you rock!) and go back online browsing for one. 'Lo and behold, they had them in wide sizes! I figured it was time to stop admiring them from afar, and time to put them on my feet! Back when I was looking at them, L.L. Bean had one of the most solid lifetime warranties around. I'm not sure if they still keep the tradition, but I'm sure they still keep the pride in its manufacture. They will fix and resole them for you for a reasonable price! They feel soft and roomy like a moccasin and definitely reliable in muddy weather. I haven't had the chance to just go stomping around in the mud in them yet, but I definitely won't hesitate if it rains. Love these boots. I'm normally a 9EE on the brannock, ordered 8.5 Wide. Hope this helps!

Well worth the money.
What a great pair of hunting boots. I've been needing a new pair for a long time now and I finally went ahead and got some new ones. Vastly improved over the ones I got back in the 1980s. Quality built with precision stitching.

Les coutures ne tiennent pas le coup
J'en suis à ma quatrième paire de «Men's Maine Hunting Shoes 10 po» . Tous ont eu le même problème soit que les coutures reliant la botte de caoutchouc au montant de cuir ne tiennent pas le coup et cèdent facilement, J'ai déjà essayé de les faire réparer, mais la réparation ne me convenait pas. Elles sont cependant très confortables: c'est le prix à payer, mais les coutures de la base restent très faibles.
