Best hiking boot
I am on my 3rd pair of Cresta Gore-Tex hiking boots. They are the best!! I backpacked Isle Royale in July and started checking in May 2024 to order a new pair. When are you going to have them in stock?!! I am so disappointed that they have been unavailable for purchase.

Please restock!!
I have gone through 2 pairs of these and they are the best boots. I went to order a new pair and not a single size is available in regular width. They stay dry. I have worn them on many hikes all over the world as well as city walking in winter in italy, germany etc. They provide such good support for feet and ankles and I don't mind the extra weight. Please restock!!!

What a pleasant surprise! Perfect fit!
I’d been hesitant to purchase these boots, but with such good reviews I went ahead a took a guess at what size would be a comfortable fit! To my surprise a size 7 wide was what I needed! My shoe size is 6 1/2 - 7. They feel wonderful! Slightly snug with wool socks on but as stated they need some time to break in. Comfy on the inside! Beautiful dark brown leather made in Romania! Boot laces on the boots perfectly match the dark brown leather! Comes with dark green laces as an option!

Are these still being made??
I went online to purchase another pair of the Cresta Hikers, and there are ZERO sizes available in MD width. These are the BEST hiking boots for support and comfort! Please tell me these are going to be restocked soon and that LLBean is not dropping another iconic product of theirs due to the "lightweight" hiker push...These boots have earned their reputation and provide the best support and comfort out there out of ANY hiking boots.

Not like the originals
I bought my first pair in 1997 and wore them until 2021 when they began leaking/coming apart by where the leather meets the soul. They were made in Italy and the leather was fantastic. I wore them everywhere hiking and never had an issue as they broke in well.
The pair I received (A gift from hubby, so I picked them out ;) ) are made in Romania. They are beautiful but don't break in and have remained stiff. Eyelets are well made and sturdy.

The Best Boots, My 2nd pair
This is my second pair of these, just so I would have an extra to use at home. They are as comfortable as a tennis shoe, and no break in period. The best. Love them. They do scratch up pretty easily, but can be polished up to look new.

Wasn't good for me
The construction appeared to be good - however, the fit was sloppy. The ankle area was very uncomfortable. I did not try them in the field - they just were a bad fit for me.
The shoe was only available in D (wide) width when I ordered - when I checked, no ETA on B width. I see now that some sizes are available in B width, but honestly the shoes seem to run a little narrow. I usually only purchase B width, as my feet are NOT wide - so for me to say they seem to be narrow (for a D width) I think if your foot was truly wide, they MIGHT be too narrow.
And since I never put them to the water test, I can not say how effectively they are waterproof.

Need narrow size please- best boots!
I have been wearing these boots since the 1990s in a narrow size. I have purchased about 5 pairs over the years. I wear them not only for hiking but everyday wear because they have the best support and most comfort for my feet. I was purchasing from ll bean usa but they no longer have narrow and it seems they are almost out of the regular sizes too, so I began looking elsewhere and just now found ll bean ca. Please bring back the narrow width. It is so important to have boots that fit properly. Thank you.
