Product Details
Our heaviest-weight flannel. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. And it still gets better with age. In fact, customers rave about the "impeccable quality" and tell us that these shirts just get more and more comfortable over the years.
- 7.5 oz. Portuguese cotton flannel.
- Expertly brushed eight times on each side for exceptional softness.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Shirttail hem.
- Original angled pockets and cross-stitched buttons.
- Double-stitched seams for toughness.
- Unbreakable buttons.

Been buying this shirt for over 20 years!!
best shirt jacket ever. My husband had this shirt in tan when we got married over 22 years ago. It, however, was stained so I bought him one in navy blue and he loves it. He refuses to part with the original but now for outside of the home, he can wear the terrific new one and look great.

Large size men
I buy my clothing from LL Bean because of the quality of the materials and their ability to make the sizes that fit perfectly. Thank you LL Bean I just really don't know what I would do without you. Mike

Not LL Bean quality
We can't get the wrinkles out of it and the collar doesn't lay flat. We tried washing it twice, and steaming it too. No luck. The fabric also is more loosely woven than previous chamois shirts. It's soft and warm as expected.

Ruggedly Soft
Makes for a nice light jacket when a real jacket would be too much.

Still the classic
I purchased two of the these shirts after a hiatus of 25 years. I am pleased to report that their quality remains up to snuff (perhaps a bit less soft than in olden times, but still very nice) -- something that is not the case for other LL Bean classics. Thanks for holding the line here on quality. (LL Bean buyers, please don't compromise on quality to save costs -- your customers will happily pay more for the good stuff.)

Careful with sizing.
Medium is slightly too small for me, but ok if i leave one more button undone. Large is WAY too big.
