Great light weight year round cargo pant
Purchased to replace the exact same pant purchased 3 years ago. Very comfortable waist with relax fit. Cargo pockets securely holds phone or other item. Great for hiking or everyday wear year round.

Not Tropical Weight
The rating has to do with describing the pants a tropical weight than any defect in construction. What I received is, in my experience, more a late fall or mild winter weight pair of pants. A much heavier, less flexible, non-breathing fabric than I expected. On the positive side, the pants are well constructed to the standard you expect from LL Bean. I especially like the deep roomy pockets that make it all but impossible for my cell phone and other items to be left behind in the last easy chair I sat it.

Pockets carry cargo.
These are a great pair of pants. I bought them for work, I am a teacher. They are comfortable all day and don’t “cut or bind”. They are easy to take care of and they have wonderful pockets. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to be practical while wearing something other than jeans.
