Materials and overall quality have diminished
First pair I had was in the 70's. I loved them. Wore them everywhere. Finally wore them out. Fast forward 50 years (full disclosure - I purchased them from Zappo's) these newer versions are very unstable. The thick felt interior sole is now memory foam. It's like trying to balance on pillows.
The right slipper insisted on rolling over so that I was walking on the side of the slipper. Uncomfortable and unsafe. I sent them back!

Need a wide width
I purchased these for my boyfriend - he has wide feet. Unfortunately the side of the slipper blew out. It’s a real bummer as they are his favorite slippers. You can see he even tried to fix them… I am going to get him another pair- I just wish they lasted longer for him.

Improvements
Second pair i have bought. Was pleased with first pair. However, they could be improved by taking out the laabels on the bottom fleece, and providing a larger tab on the back of the slippers to make it easier t put on.
