Wear Boots? If you work on a farm or ranch, there's not a better boot knife! Adding a floppy lil lanyard helps with retrieval and re-entry.

Great everyday carryI purchased this back in August and carry it everyday. I even carry it in my shorts pocket while at the gym or riding my bike on the trails. Holds a great edge and the clip fits well on any pocket. It also looked great in my suit pants that I gave my daughter away in at her wedding at the end of August. Cuts a sharp line for cigars too.

Superb Selection for this year’s Collector KnifeSuperb selection for this year’s Collector’s Knife. Highly recommend as gift to Dad, Husband or significant other for an item to keep and use. Produced by Boker, a very renowned maker of knives, this special edition is expertly crafted. The knife is small but handles all jobs quite well. The size fits the hand perfectly and the sheath protects the knife and the user. The handle material is highly durable and will hold up under wet/cold/hot environments. I really like this knife.

German steelThis is a Bokar Barlow BFF that has been specially made for LLBean, using a different handle material and stamped with LLBean 1/300, but essentially the same blade sold for $259 on the Bokar website (plus taxes and shipping). This is AEB-L steel (typo in description) not ABE-L, used for razor blades and scalpels. Cryo treatment hardens the steel to a greater degree by shedding the material that is not hardened by heat treatment and quenching bringing more hardened material to the edge, a process more for alloys and stainless steels. It is a small blade but robust for its size with full tang and flawless machining. The sheath is nice, a good fit around the handle to secure it, and a clip so it can fit in a pocket like most folders. Bokar calls it reminiscent of 17th century pocket knives in England. I also like the drop point with small false edge and a needle point. It arrived so-so sharp but it took a razor edge and it should keep it. I wish they were numbered (they all are stamped with 1/300) but that would’ve increased costs, and $200 is a great deal for a limited run of an exceptional blade made by an exceptional blade maker in a German city renowned for blade making
