Made for Minnesota winters
This jacket is really warmed and works well to -20F . It is too warm to wear when temperatures are near 40F. Size fits as expected. One complaint is the description says mesh pockets on the inside but they are not there. This jacket really needs the mesh pockets to hold hats and large gloves. Since this jacket works well to below zero it needs extra big pockets inside for hats, scarves and stuff.

BEST WARMEST OF ALL MY WINTER JACKETS
Of the many jackets I have here in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and in blizzards, this LL Bean (Baxter) jacket is by far THE WARMEST. In fact, in 14 degrees F without much activity I come home sweaty. Lightweight and comfortable.

I love this jacket. Very warm and enjoy the fact that it doesn't go below my waise while working or driving.

Excellent Winter Coat
This is probably the WARMEST jacket I've ever owned. Even when I'm wearing short sleeves in the winter (which I'm wearing now), the wind doesn't get through it which makes me very happy.
If you're considering a winter coat, look at this one. It's worth it.
