Awkward, Heavy and Dings, Where are the pockets?
I saw this case at LL Bean outlet and decided to buy it since my last one had its handle ripped off on a luggage conveyor. I just used this for a work trip to Germany. The airplane trip was Newark - Frankfurt - Hamburg. Going over the case got some deep scratches and scuffs. And coming back I notice some more. I'm a little worried since this is the first trip and the case was expensive. My biggest notice was that I thought the different size the 26" would be perfect, just hit that sweet spot between big and small and it didn't. It didn't, it just made me frustrated since I wished it was the size as my old big one. A positive note is that it has mesh covers for the interior. They are good because if you are able to zipper them then you can close the case without expanding it. But there are no extra little side pockets. For the price I'd expect a little pocket here or there. So in conclusion after 1 trip I see some damage and I hope I get many years out of it for the price, but I am now skeptical.
