The petite wasn't.
This is a beautiful shirt, but is another shirt where the features that should be shorter for a petite - sleeves and overall length - were longer than other LLBean petite shirts, and were what I would expect had I not purchased a petite size.

Very nice flannel shirt
Love the weight of this shirt. Nice and roomy. Sleeves maybe a tiny bit short. Really like the black plaid color as it goes with a lot of tanks, t-shirts, pants.

Small regular fit my curves just right
Soft, beautiful flannel shirt. I got the wine-colored whisper-weight flannel shirt and am thinking about buying another. I am 5'3, curvy at hip and bust and usually around 145-150 lbs, and the Small Regular fit me perfectly. Sometimes I buy a petite, but the other reviews made me decide to go for Regular, and I'm glad I did. The arms are a perfect length for me. The Small Regular is just right with my bust to wear the shirt buttoned and have a nice form-fitting shape/contour. If you are built like me but you prefer your tops looser or plan to layer more under it, you may want to go a size up.

L.L. Bean doesn’t disappoint. The shirt is soft and didn’t shrink after washing it, I wear it a lot with a puffy vest and an L.L. Bean buttery cotton T-shirt underneath
