Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good material, bad tailoring. These pants feature excellent material choices and great workmanship in the sewing but the cut and antiquated high waisted design leaves you with a low hanging crotch seam that binds on any decent incline. Additionally, the tapering of the leg (or lack thereof, ‘straight cut’ ) begins too high on the thigh leaving an amazing excess of fabric flapping about the calf and ankle: a perfect way to accumulate stick and debris with every step while pushing your way through brush. Someone may have taken ‘straight cut’ far too literally or perhaps improperly scaled up the legs widths for larger waisted sizings (i.e., the circumference of a calf and ankle do not differ much between a 160 lb and a 250 lb man so, while thighs might need additional fabric, the same cannot be said of a shin when scaling up the cut).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hunting pants! I wore the pants hunting this past weekend and they fit perfectly and repel briars in the thickest cover. Hope they last as long as my last pair of LL Bean hunting pants that were good for over 20 years of some very tough hunting!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not brush pants!! Wore these for the first time yesterday. Everything sticks to them. They are such a great fit...but I am very disappointed

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Do not offer 34-inch or longer inseam I am curious why LL Bean does not stock hunting pants in size 32 x 34 (32 waist by 34 inseam). Every year I look with the hope that there is a chance this will be the year they are finally stocked. Once again, I am disappointed. Does Bean think that only short people hunt? Why stop at 33-inch inseam? Is there a shortage of material this time of year?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid upland pants Used these pants on a grouse trip in Northern NH. So far they've stood up well to a couple days of tramping through thick bramble and downed trees. Fabric seems to have a decent amount of flex and are an overall comfortable pair of pants. Conditions were dry so will be curious to see how they hold up in rainier and wetter conditions, but off to a promising start. It would be nice if vents are incorporated in the future, but these are a solid pair of pants for the price.
