Rated 5 out of 5 by from LL Bean still makes the best Barn Jacket My husband loved this jacket! We looked everywhere last year, nothing. He wanted one with the lining inside and that’s just what this barn jacket offered! The outside material appears to be water repellent, bonus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice coat - really expensive Nice coat - expensive - This looks like it would be good in temps down to 30F or so, looks good for wet weather.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Questionable stitching Stitching is coming apart. I would expect more quality stitching considering the price point

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nostalgia almost got me My mother bought me the original Barn Coat for me when I was 13 way back in the year 2000 of I remember correctly. It was amazing. Mine is still in mint condition and so it's my mother's female version. I also have the field jacket she got for the Fall that same year. She got me Medium in both and I definitely had to grow into them both. The quality was so much better back then. This is a throw back jacket but the silky material instead of the sturdy clothe that they used in the original just doesn't feel as quality and nice as the original. It's just ok in my opinion. The original price back then was like $100-$120 this jacket is nearly $300 and heat isn't worth the price tag. Nostalgia got me to order it but the mature me decided the worth wasn't there and it got sent back. For me LL Bean used to be "THE" brand when I was younger but I've read so many terrible things about the company and how it's just went downhill and it's honestly sad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too small I purchase a lot of 3xl clothes which fit me very well. This 3xl coat fits more like an xl size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Field Coat ever made I have worn these coats for years and had to have the 100th anniversary original edition. Still the best Field Coat ever made

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic legacy coat Purchased a men's style because it was longer than the women's; my style preference. Great field coat--love the rust/ orange color...a little different. The quality is outstanding. Would have loved leather buttons, but can always change those. Generously cut to accommodate a sweater for additional warmth. A true classic.
