We've improved our most popular extra-large rolling duffle, loved since 1996 for its durability, fun colors and great price. Now made of 100% recycled fabrics, with a new U-shaped zipper that opens wider for easier access and an innovative folding design.
Introducing our best-ever Rolling Adventure Duffle, redesigned using customer feedback, product reviews and tests from our own in-house lab. We chose a rugged fabric that's 100% recycled--and just as strong as before. Next, we packed it with improvements, including a wider opening and a new folding design we created by customer request, making it easier to stow away when you're not using it. Available in sizes and colors for every member of the family!
- Coated interior for added weather protection; tested for 24 hours in our deep freeze with no signs of cracking, flaking or peeling.
- Waterproof fabrics. Zippers and seams not waterproof.
- Fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles; this 135L bag uses 52 plastic bottles.
- 100% recycled 600-denier polyester on body, with 100% recycled 1000-denier polyester on base that's twice as abrasion resistant for added durability.
- PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR).
- Spot clean.
- Grab handles at either end for easy maneuvering, with low-profile lash points and one rigid handle that helps stabilize bag.
- Roomy main compartment.
- Zipper flap adds weather protection.
- New U-shaped zippered opening offers 50% more access to contents inside.
- Features L.L.Bean mountain graphic logo on either side of bag.
- Outside zip pocket.
- Internal kickstand lets duffle stand upright for travel, then collapse for storage.

Nice and big
We got this recently due to an upcoming trip. We bought an older version of this back in 2005 or 2006, and it’s has held up ever since. We wanted a new one for our trip because our other luggage has not held up even though it was bought two years ago. It looks sturdy enough and we do hope it can take a beating like our older one. I like to ability fold down and make it as flat as possible. The only reason it got four stars is we haven’t tried it out yet

I bought this rolling duffel bag for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. It’s really good looking, the color is perfect and it maneuvers smoothly. It’s a perfect size.

Dirt sticks - like glue - to the very non-technical canvas fabric. The duffle was dirty and stained after ONE trip. As a result, on day 2, looking like luggage from 30 years ago that you were glad to throw out. I would never buy again. Having bought many of the previous iteration over the years.

Great bag, except for handle
This bag is great. Packed a lot in it, and nice and light. The bars inside make it stand up easily. The only negative is the handle on the bottom. It is very tight, and hard to put your hand in. Difficult when you have 2 people carrying up stairs.

Old version was much better
I had the old LL Bean xx-large duffle and it literally lasted 12+ years with vacations and hunting trips all over the world. This new one already has split seams after 2 airplane trips...unbelievable. FYI, I am ordering another bag since I don't have packing material to send the damaged one back....let's hope it was a fluke.

Great size and maneuverability, hole after one use
Good size and large opening, but it’s not the best quality - canvas is thin and there is only one small exterior pocket for organization. Unfortunately traveled with it first time and the bag had a hole when it came off the plane, right over an internal metal support that looks like it creates a a pressure point at the corner. Hope LLBean reinforces the corners or goes back to the previous design.
