Could have been so much better!
First the good stuff: The cut of these pants is great!
The problems: LLBean has been in the business of making clothes for a long time. They should know better than to pair heavy oxford-cloth pocket linings with a lightweight cotton fabric. As other reviewers have noted, the blue color of this lining fabric is an odd choice, but I find that it's the weight of the fabric that is most problematic. The same fabric is used with some LLBean shorts that my husband purchased. It works great in that context because the cotton (mainly) twill of the shorts is of a heavier weight. (I'm imagining that someone at the company mistakenly ordered an excess of blue oxford cloth, which is now finding its way into all sorts of clothing items.) With these pants, I have to work to make sure the pocket linings are lying flat so they aren't visible through the fabric of the pants. Also as noted elsewhere, the pants are a bit tricky to wash and dry without ending up needing to iron them. Those side seams do tend to shrink up a bit. I find that about 10 minutes in the dryer to get out the major wrinkles, followed by some tugging to get the seams looking good and then hanging the pants to dry completely works well. All in all, too much effort for pants that could have been so much better.

The “indigo” color is more gray than blue
The fit is comfortable. The regular length for me is a bit shorter than desired and the xtra long is a bit longer than perfect. (I’m 5 ft 6 inches). Other than that I love the pants. I really like the sea grass color. I usually wear an 8 but bought a 10. I found the 8 very slightly smaller than preferred and the 10 a bit bigger than preferred.

Comfy yet classy
Bought these in May, loved them this summer. They look nice, yet they’re cool and comfy. bought size 12 tall, because I didn’t want them too short. They are wide leg, but not unattractively baggy. Loved them so much, probably going to get ano

Just okay…
Bought these pants back in February. Wasn’t thrilled with the fit, pockets were awkward, pant didn’t sit well on my frame. Because of LLBean quality, thought I could make them work. Wore them once, material didn’t hold up to wear, in the end disappointed. Hindsight, I would have returned.
