I don't know if I have big ankles since I don't see this issue addressed in any other review, but the velcro overlap on the ankle strap only overlaps 3/4" for me - although there is a 2.5" possible velcro strip. I haven't had problems with other sandals, but these don't feel secure for this reason.

A Sandal Worth Wearing!!!
These sandals 'fit the bill'! Perfect fit, many opportunities to adjust for comfort, secure walk, and they keep my soles cool. A bonus, is that unlike some sandals, they still smell nice after wear. Most of all, I appreciate the steadiness of the walk. Great find.

Rarely do I take a pair of shoes out of cf the box and have zero fit issues. That just happened. Didn’t even adjust the straps. Then, I left them on all day and forgot I was wearing them. From someone who would rather be barefoot than just about anything, that is saying something. Love the diamond pattern and color. I already know that I will wear these often. They make the cut for the shoes that get to live by the front door.
