I recommend these boots.
These are comfortable, functional boots for yard work. A longer pull loop in the back would make them perfect.

Unfortunately a bad purchase
I was hoping these boots would be a good choice for winter wear when snow was not too deep or to wear driving or doing errands. Unfortunately, I found these to be very uncomfortable and cumbersome to get on and remove. I’ve been spoiled with the “slip on” shoe trend where you walk into the show and easily remove. I have always had great things to say about LL Bean products and I’m sorry these did not work out.

Comfortable and warm
I've had these for about 3 months and they're great. Winters are cold and wet here, and I walk my dogs several times a day so having slip-on boots that are waterproof is a big deal. The boots are comfortable and keep my feet warm when it's cold out. I've worn them in heavy rain quite a few times already and my feet stayed perfectly dry. The fit is a bit on the large size. I'm an 8.5 and I ordered my size, and they're a little loose but not uncomfortably so. I mostly walk on flat ground anyway so it's not a problem. If I were going up and down a lot it might be a different issue. But they're comfortable enough that when it's really cold out, they're my go-to shoe even if I'm just hopping in the car for a short trip. I would definitely buy them again.
