Really wish these came in other colors!!
So, as a duck shoe color collector, I broke down and bought these in blue (the older version). I figured I wanted to try the style and they never seem to be in anything but basic blue. I love duck shoes so I was really surprised when I found these even MORE comfortable than the others (the slip-on duck shoes and/or the boots in various heights). I REALLY wish you would make these in other colors ... and I know I've sent a message requesting this. Of course, I was the one requesting FOR YEARS that you bring back the anoraks from the 1990s ... which you did (admittedly too many years too late as I had finally broken down and looked on other sites). I see they are also once again popular so ... please listen to me! :-) I think I 'speak' for many of your customers. I think these would be terribly popular in colors OTHER THAN the basics. That said, these really are so comfortable. Perhaps it's the lacing that makes them feel more ... secure(?) but I really like this style (especially for those of us who sometimes struggle putting our feet into some of the boots). Any readers -- PUT A LIKE IF YOU TOO WOULD LIKE THESE IN COLORS OTHER THAN BLUE! :-) I'm going old school here ... exciting the masses (ha ha ha). Hopefully the people speak (and LLBean listens!).

Gum shoes for the rainforests of Ecuador
These boots are the best (!), and my third pair in my lifetime (my feet keep growing!). Received a new pair for Christmas and promptly went on an Ecuador/rainforest adventure. They were the perfect foil for the mud and rain of the area. I got them about a 1/2 size larger so had plenty of room for socks. I wear a 6.5 shoe and bought a 6 Medium. I'm not a fan of the leather shoe laces, but replaced them with regular navy blue 32" laces, and they look great. Thanks for a great product LL Bean. I remain a loyal fan.

Almost A Good Idea
I have two other pairs of the boots: above the ankle and mid calf lengths. This one is easier to get into, but since the 28 inch laces weren't long enough to double tie the boots, I had to get 48 inch laces from a local store. These are a little too long. Triple or quad tying needed. Now, the laces for those other Bean boots were perfect in length ....
