Nice style and color
I bought this jacket to wear as a light coat as the seasons transition from warmer to colder. The lining is warm but the it makes this jacket very hard to put on and take off. The lining is not tacked to the shell at the sleeves. The lining is very clingy to my shirtsleeves and shoulders making it a bear to adjust for comfort.

Poor sleeve design pulls down overall rating
Jacket is warmer than expected so is probably only a two season cover (spring and fall). Too warm for summer and probably not warm enough for winter in New England. Fits well and overall design is good except whoever came up with the sleeve lining needs to rethink where he’s coming from. Have to consciously hold on to sleeve your wearing, both on and off, and the jacket too because the jacket lining is not stitched down and pulls in and out.

Returned
Did not like lining material. Not easy to put on jacket over a sweater.

Low Quality
I wanted to like this jacket but it fell short of my expectations. First of all when I opened the package and tried to unzip the zipper it was hung up on the inside seam. When I got it free and put the jacket on, the lining of the sleeves was hanging out at the wrist on both sleeves. I had to reach inside the sleeve to pull the lining back into place. I then zipped it up and the zipper got hung up in the inside flap again.
It is sad to say the quality of LLBean products has dropped off considerably. I returned the jacket the next day.

Nice three season jacket....
I purchased this jacket early this spring and have found it perfect for hikes in cooler/breezy weather. It's light enough to go all but unnoticed in a daypack until needed, so there's no excuse for not having it along. It is quite water repellent, though I haven't tried it in a prolonged steady rain. In combination with a true foul weather jacket all spring/summer/fall bases would be covered. This jacket could literally be a life saver in an unexpeected night out at elevation or in a coastal forest, though I hasten to add this is not a primary winter jacket. I'm quite pleased with mine though I'll echo the comment regarding the attachment of the insulation material at the sleeve cuffs. A minor gripe. I'll also add I purchased a Large/tall, there was no prompt for that in the sizing options for this review.

One suggestion....
A nice, light jacket. Easily fits into suitcases and backpacks. The only suggestion I'd have is that the lining be attached to the outer sleeve (at the elbow?), because when you pull your arm out the lining comes with your hands and turns inside out.
