Not a Classic
I am a long time purchaser of the LL Bean corduroy long sleeve mens shirt. They used to make this shirt roomier, more comfortable and 100% cotton. It was softer, breathed better and did not need to be marketed with stretch material for a "comfort fit". The current version is cut with a tighter fit where the sleeves are 1.5 inches narrower (I measured it against one of my older LL Bean corduroy shirts) and are a tighter fit on the body... and so are not as comfortable... maybe that's why they have to have stretch fabric; and because of the spandex in the fabric it has a crinkley sound when you move or put it on. The only reason I give this a 3 star is that is has the classic look... but not the classic feel!! I would only really give this 2.5 STARS OVERALL. If you want the classic feel of 100% cotton with a comfortable classic traditional fit that's has more room, I would pass on this shirt unless you (like me) needed one because my burgundy corduroy shirt had worn out. Please bring back the 100% cotton corduroy shirts. They look great, are much more comfortable; breathe better and age well!
