don't do it.
poorly designed, too much wasted space and no shoulder cinch.

Great versatile pack
This pack is the perfect size for day hiking, airports, adventure parks and toting supplies for the kids. The waist pack eliminated my purse and the pack is comfortable to wear.

Great overall day pack.
I bought this about a year ago. I’m a naturalist. I use it for metro travel where I carry lunch, umbrella, water bottle, hot thermos, anorak/light sweater, and books. Also on treks in the woods to bird watch, insect/ plant collect and make animal track impressions, this requires lots of water and plaster. The pack is sufficiently large for my purposes and can carry a heavy load. The front stuff pocket and water bottle pockets are very secure, they can be tightened, and they’re deep to carry a large hard or soft bottle. The waist straps are decent, and will support the weight of a side MOLLE bag, where I carry binoculars, a field book and maps for quick access. The waist pockets are small but useful for a small snack or small/ medium size cell phone. A small MOLLE or binocular bag can be suspended from the chest strap. The outside zipper pocket on the stuff bag is double sided and can accommodate lots of small quick need items. I use the interior hydration pouch as a small item pouch. The inner and outer zippered pockets are a good size and expand for small items. Overall a well constructed, comfortable and sturdy pack for multiple outdoor uses.
