Cheap polyester, just at a higher price
I remember when LLBean used to make quality merchandise for women--now only men seem to have that advantage. While beautiful-looking initially, the polyester fabric will be looking ratty in no time. Both environmentally and economically unsound. Stop with the throw-away fashion!

Lovely, but it pills.
A lot to like about this shirt: the plaid is lovely; it is as warm as I hoped. But weeks in, it began to pill, and that's become more and more of an issue. The fabric simply isn't of good quality

Sizing, length and sleeves are fabulous. Colors are spot on. I get so many compliments when I wear this. Material is just right. I can dress it up or down and there is enough room for a thicker top or sweater!!

Not what I expected
First of all, I'm a loyal LL Bean shopper. But with this item, listen to the other reviews. I thought there's no way LLBean would make something subpar, but then I received it and saw the sewing didn't line up, it looks cheap, and is so scratchy. It was returned immediately.

Shacket material
I gave this item 3 stars because of the material it's made of. I was expecting more of a fleece. The material is scratchy around my chin where the collar hits other than that, its roomy enough that you could wear a heavy sweatshirt or sweater. I'm hoping the more I wash it, it will become softer.
