Disappointing first pair of Bean Boots
These were exactly what I was looking for, something to slip on to walk the dog in wet grass and gravel. I got them a little big, but not so big that my feet slide inside. After 6 months the heel has worn away. This is my first pair of LL Bean boots, and all of the reviews from people who have worn their version for YEARS were encouraging. I also bought 2 other classic styles that I have not started wearing yet. Maybe the black soles are softer. Disappointing for the price, and these were the cheap color.

I really like the black and slip on styling. After they have broken in a bit they remind me of a swashbuckler kind of boot Cool AUUUUGGG

Interesting appearance, shoddy feel
Its appearance is really nice, however, the boots run incredibly large. I wish I listened to those who said to order a size down. The upper material feels very flimsy. I am worried the straps might snap with the lightest pull.

Not one of their finest boots
I have been an avid LLBean boot user for 32 years and own several pairs, in different heights and materials (canvas, leather) and from all their collaborations (Flowfold, Todd Snyder…) and these boots disappointed me a bit. The nubuck leather used on the uppers is soft and the strap with a buckle make the boots bulky and saggy, unfortunately. I have 2 pairs of the lounger boots and they fit impeccably well like all of my other LLBean boots. I wouldn’t recommend ordering these boots before trying them on. I am exchanging these for a pair of the Men's 1912 Bean Boots, 8" instead. Hopefully the LLBean team will improve this boot!
