Cute but too short
I liked this more modern update to the classic turtleneck but because it was short (i.e. expose your belly when you lift your arms short), I returned it.

Weird fit, with sleeves way too long
I bought this turtleneck to have a Christmas-red turtleneck for the holidays. Boy does it have weird fit: the sleeves are 4 inches too long )good thing I own a serger and could fix that), it's too (who needs a cropped turtleneck in winter that goes under other sweaters), the fabric doesn't have good stretch and falls into strange wrinkles, and as a result the neck does not stand up well. I wish I would have read other reviews first, as they comment on these same issues. This item is a lemon.

Disappointed.. not up to Bean’s quality.
This turtleneck sweater would be great except that it is very tight and short in the body. Sleeves are long enough and the turtleneck is not too tight. But I can’t wear it because the body of it rides up.

Poor quality and sizing
I am a long-time customer of LLBean and am so disappointed in the poor quality of this item. The sizing was much smaller than previous items I've purchased with similar size descriptions, the material was thin, and the torso very short. It's been returned.

Odd fit and fabric
Very strange fit, arms were large, body was small, and it barely reached my waistline. Neck was large too and fabric had surprisingly little stretch for a rib knit. Hem was awkwardly turned under instead of a neat cast-on edge. At least the cream color was fairly opaque. The first time I have been unhappy with an LLBean product!

Cropped Style
I love the design of this shirt but it is made for more petite body frames or could be worn as a crop top. I personally like tall women’s sizing or at least a shift from the current crop top styles seen today. Would have rated 5/5 if it came in a tall and covered my whole torso.

Pretty Color, Fit, & Feel, My Notes Addrd
As indicated, I like the red color and the feel as well as the wide ribs. Initially, my concern was the way the turtleneck is sewn in rather than knitted into the garment, but trying it on erased that concern. In heat, I might feel the seam though. However, I like that there is no seam in the neck piece itself. The stitching at the cuffs does not appeal to me, so I have turned the edges in and will blind stitch them for a more finished look. I like that this garment is not boxy. It is thin and lighter weight than the Pima cotton tops I love, but it possibly will fit under a sweater with more ease and probably will dry faster. Even though I prefer all cotton, linen, or washable wools, and am opposed to spandex, I believe this top will pack and travel well. It definitely will take less space in a carryon travel bag and in a drawer. After wearing it for a longer period of time in other conditions, I will know more about how I feel about the stitching on of the turtleneck’s seam. At the moment, I seem to be wishing it had been knitted on in one piece. Otherwise, so far it is comfortable. It is too soon to comment on any skin reaction to the fabric or the dye. I am hoping this garment will serve me well, and better than I believed when I opened the package and found the neck seam. If it works well for me, I might buy the other colors. My recommendation is a temporary Yes based on these comments. If the neck or the fabric contact bother me, I would change that decision. It remains fairly comfortable as I am typing, but Pima cotton cannot be beat for comfort. This garment will be used at home, for quiet activities, layering, and travel if it proves itself sufficiently comfortable over time. I have been an L. L. Bean customer since 1991, when a friend introduced me to the company.
