Terribly designed, hard to assemble, looks cuteThis looks great but honestly if my husband wasn’t a handyman, I would have sent it back. I gave up after step 1. He broke out the power tools for the remainder of this “no tools needed” assembly process. It still took over an hour because the holes are so in accessible. Not worth the headache.

Irksome assemblySturdy and attractive materials, but difficult to assemble. The provided Allen wrench leaves a lot to be desired.

Nice boot rackIt will meet our needs very well. My husband has every tool known to man so assembly wasn't a problem.

VERY difficult to put together. This item is very difficult to put together. The parts involving the Allen wrench took approximately 2 1/2 hours . I am nearly to the point that I may give up on it and send it back to L.L. Bean. The bracket holes do not line up.. it is nearly impossible to put the brackets in because of the tight space and misalignment. The screws are cheap and keep stripping. L.L. Bean should either sell this thing preconstructed or totally redesign it. I do not recommend this at all.

Perfectly Met Our NeedsI'm giving five stars because it looks great and has great functionality with the caviat that it is difficult to complete installation. The instructions are great and the build quality is good. The difficulty of installation comes when installing the final brackets and screws. Everything else was easy. The brackets go on the inside of the corners and the screws are small which makes it impossible to get a screwdriver in there and keep it straight. Otherwise, it looks great and really helps us with shoe organization.

A pain to assemble.Good looking sturdy -once it's together. Tight corners, Holes that didn't line up and a missing Allen wrench made this project a pain. Once together, it's a welcome addition to our entryway.

Assembly nightmareWe bought this rack as a space saver for our mudroom. While it looks okay fully assembled, the assembly instructions are poor and the process is terrible. The corner brackets were particularly difficult to install as the holes are not fully pre-drilled (making turning the screws nearly impossible) and don't line up well. Now that it is assembled, we will keep it. But had we known how awful the assembly would have been, we never would have bought it. You have been warned!
