Not Briar-Proof
These are probably the best fitting and most comfortable hunting pants I have found (it is always a challenge to find good-fitting women's pants). The extra facing on them is OK for hunting in fields, but is not briar-proof. If you are pushing through dense rough cover, which is what I tend to hunt in, the pants will come out looking great (they don't tear), but expect scratches to your legs where the thorns poked right through.

Improved design, but issues with fit
First, the upside. The previous hunting pants, similar to this, that I bought from LL Bean have a pocket lining in a different color. This means that if the pockets pull at all, people see the lining. This problem has been corrected with these pants. The pocket lining is the same color as the pants. The pants are also attractive and drape well.
Now the downside. There is a reinforcement to the bottom of the pocket in a contrasting color which results in a horizontal line on the hip. This may bring attention that you do not want to your hip and the pockets.
These pants are quite lightweight and made of polyester, so you will need an inner layer for insulation in the cold. The abrasion resistant material is NOT canvas like the earlier pants. I'm not sure how well it will do.
The pants have a reinforcement to the hem at the bottom of the leg. This is great if the inseam is correct, but difficult if you need to shorten them. The inseam is 30 inches. The waist on mine is loose, so I have not experienced any stretch in the pants there. I also cannot stretch the waist by pulling on it, so I don't know what the "semi-elastic waist" description means.
I would recommend these pants to a friend with a 30 inch inseam.
