Not what I expected from the description
it seems to be reasonably well made, BUT not at all what I expected from the item description. The shirt is not "low hip" length- it barely covers my waist. Front length from where the neck joins the shoulder to the center hem is 26 1/2"; side seam is 3 1/2" shorter, so underarm to side lower edge is 15" long. The rear hem is 2" longer, so at the longest point the shirt is 28 1/2" long in a size 1x. The sleeves are snug- 15" diameter at the bicep. Other reviews have mentioned a "gap" problem at the front- I agree with this, as although there is enough diameter at the bust, the buttons are placed above and below the fullest point so the opening isn't held shut well. The fabric is also strange- it seems to be a double layer; the stripes are woven (not printed) but the reverse of the fabric is solid. I specifically wanted a light weight shirt, as other items described as "crinkle cotton" usually are, so this extra layer eliminates the fabric quality I was seeking. I don't think a larger size would solve the fit issues for me. This shirt might fit a shorter person better, except that the sleeves are on the long side. Expect a shirt with tight, extra long sleeves, that needs to be worn with high-waisted pants, with a safety pin at the center front. Disappointing.

Button Issues
I agree with others about buttons spaced too far apart. Actually not enough buttons. I tried it on, unbuttoned a top button and the shirt immediately gapped at bust. If I wasn't wanting a navy gauze shirt so bad, I would send it back. Kind of thin also, compared to another popular brand shirt I have. Especially for high price. Guess I'll try to add a couple snaps like another did. Or just wear as overshirt. Your quality is slipping LL Bean.

Cool lightweight summer top
Bought for summer as a solo shirt not over shirt. Sizing as expected. Buttons of concern for some were fine for me. They are 5” between them but there is a button right at critical spot to prevent gaps where you don’t want them. Not sure what others encountered. Will likely buy another in different color. With lighter colors they are sheer so need to be mindful of what you wear underneath. Like loose in summer so went up a size. Have not washed as yet.

let me save you some money...
When I saw these shirts I ordered three in different colors. I had searched for a collared, long sleeve double pocket shirt and this seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately the fabric is baggy (frumpy), there is a gap on front of shirt between buttons and just was everything I didn't want. Unfortunately I had washed them when they arrived thinking they might shrink a bit (they were larger than expected) but upon putting them on I realized my mistake.

A favorite shirt
I love this shirt-it's a comfy light layer for cool days, and looks great. I have not washed it yet and hope that with cold water and line drying there will be minimal shrinkage.
