Great quality but…
Pants fit well and are very comfortable . However , the pockets are not deep enough to secure mobile devices. My iPhone 14 tends to fall out. Please think devices when designing clothing.

Comfort is the key word
For a man with short legs and an increasing waistline, these pants were comfortable for daily wear. He no longer hikes but needs pants to slip on to go to town.

Perfect for those days too cool for shorts.
These are great. I got another version earlier but no fly. Very inconvenient. But these have a fly. Light weight and comfortable, perfect for cooler weather between shorts and heavy jeans.

Don't buy five loop trousers
I would give this five stars, but it has only five belt loops rather than seven. That yields two stars. I'm very disappointed LL Bean is doing what cut-price retailers, like Berkeley and Jenkins (BJ's Wholesale Club), are doing to pinch pennies. I expect a whole lot more from LL Bean. Those two little loops make a world of difference to how the trousers move (or, really, stay in place). It was so awful, I cut loops from those cheap Berkeley and Jenkins shorts to sew them to these LL Bean trousers. The result looks awful but the trousers are now wearable and enjoyable. I suppose eliminating two loops yields big profits. But I won't buy these again until they go back to a standard seven loop configuration. So much for profits.

Good, wish pockets were deeper
Good pants overall, comfortable and good quality water resistant material. Only complaint so far is that the side pocket is a little to shallow, have to watch the phone when sitting down to make sure it stays secure.
