short shelf life
LL Bean makes some great wool clothing, this shirt is not one of them, everyyear they come out with this brown wool shirt, that debuts at around 50 dollars then drops to half price , I have bought this shirt 3 or 4 times and every time after the 6th wash or so , in cold water and lined dryed the material starts to be filled with tiny holes, the greemn version has no problem and lasts , the long sleeved version in black and blue work great also , but this brown one is trash, wont get fooled agai ps i am a big fan of ll bean and weqr a lot of thier clothing , this is the rare exception of unworthy of ll bean logo

Runs tight/form fitting so I ordered next size up.
Wrinkled after washing: functional undergarment otherwise. I liked it enough to order 2nd one when it was on sale. YMMV

Massive shrinkage
Ok so I know it says not to put it in the dryer, but it got mixed in with other laundry and went through the dryer. What was an accurate size large is now a belly shirt. It fits my 5'5" wife fairly well now. I have gobs of other 100% merino gear that stands up to the dryer just fine. If they had it, id rebuy in a tall XL, expecting it to fit like a large after being dried.

Athletic fit --> Runs Small
Materials and quality seem good and when purchased on sale were a good price. This is a a base layer and has an "athletic" fit. When washed the shirt did shrink. I wound up returning the one that I did not wear. If I bought it again I would probably size up from a medium to a large. I'm 5'10" @ 165 lbs and normally mediums fit me just fine.

Good shirt
More of an athletic fit. I’m 5’10 170lbs and the medium fits perfect but as everyone mentions it may shrink a bit. Wash cold, hang dry only, it didn’t shrink that much. I bought two larges as well and will dry them which should be a perfect fit. Overall good shirt. LL bean is weird with their sizing, they normally run large, these run more athletic fit/tad smaller than their other shirts

Soft and warm
Warm and comfortable. Have not washed yet to see if it shrinks. Aware of washing instructions. Only comment is that the top is loose fitting.

Great product
Great baselayer, fits snug but that’s what I like in a baselayer, definitely warmer than any of the synthetic baselayers
