Very comfortable
Purchased this jacket for in between seasons. It’s perfect for it.
It’s warm enough for a cold and rainy day while repelling the rain.
There is enough room for a sweater. Pockets to burry your Hands in and to store stuff.

Travels Well
I was looking for a versatile coat for travel during the cold months. I wanted something lighter weight, warm, and water resistant, as I planned a trip to Dublin in later November (temps in 30s & 40s, with rainy & wind). This coat did wonderfully. It fits nicely over a medium layer and has good body coverage. It packs well and is easy to fit in a backpack for travel & availability. Just to quibble, I didn't like the brown zipper pulls, but easily swapped them for different ones.

OK as a secondary jacket.
A little small, not especially warm. Probably best for spring and fall.

Over rated and promoted
Jacket rated warmer, fall-winter. Not fall and for sure not winter in Western Pa. Maybe the insulation was left out of my jacket.. The jacket was not the quality of the LL BEAN which i have previously purchased or received as a gift. A very cheap product but high price because of the distributor Yep Going back

New fave
Was perfect for a chilly, rainy day in Ireland on vacation. Wish it packed smaller. Love the light weight factor, perfect for cooler days in Colorado.

Should Have Read The Description
Not water resistant and zipper isn't two-way making it hard to sit without unzipping or hiking up the jacket

Nice cool-weather jacket
I bought this a year ago to replace a vintage Army field jacket. Between the stow-away hood, 4+1 pockets, and color options, it seemed like a great option. Plus the insulation and water resistance make it more versatile. And it is a great jacket, perfect for fall, early spring, and parts of winter. With an extra layer it'll stand up to sub-zero temperatures.
The fit is so-so. There are two features they could alter to make it better. Add a drawstring at the waist, and move the zipper so it starts at the waist rather than the bottom of the jacket. I miss these features from the field jacket, and they are available on the Baxter State and Maine Warden parkas. The drawstring helps keep out wind and provides a more fitted look, moving the zipper to the waist makes it easier to sit while keeping the jacket zipped-up.

Proven winner.
Very pleased with this jacket. Just spent two weeks in Ireland where the weather lives up to its reputation of being changeable daily. Temps 40 - 65 most days with frequent damp and light rains, this jacket did the trick. Not for downpours, but as a go to travel jacket with multiple secure pockets, for weather from mild to heavy winds and brisk pre-winter chills, it’s a must for the outdoors traveler as well as for a quick run to the stores.
