Great jacket but no longer available
We’ve been buying these for our kids for a few years and periodically sizing up. They’re great everyday three season jackets in the DC area. We love them because they pack easily into bags, have warm insulation, can be layered, are hooded, and with no fleece like lining are easy on and off. Unfortunately, this year when we were ready to size up, it appears they’re no longer available besides a limited selection on clearance.

Poor Quality and not appropriate for New England
I cannot believe this is listed as a warm coat option. This is the thinnest coat I’ve ever received from LL Bean and we are completely disappointed in the weight and warm it would provide. I wouldn’t even put my kids in this for a spring day as it is no better than a long sleeve t-shirt. We bought the infant size too and both are going back. I was hopeful that this would be similar to PrimaLoft we’ve received in the past but this is terrible and not worth the sale price.

Best toddler/kid jacket 25-55 degree weather
Second year buying these jackets. First one for my daughter and second for my son. They are the absolute best outerwear for places with medium to mild winters. I’m in Louisiana and the weather swings 30+ degrees in with winter. It’ll be 30 degrees in the morn and 60 in the afternoon. Coupled with a long sleeve T, this jacket is comfortable from 30-55 degrees. It’s not too bulky for the car seat either! Pretty true to size, maybe a hair big for some layering room. PrimaLoft is super warm and light. My son absolutely loves these jackets and he’s a pretty opinionated 4.5 year old!

nothing like the previous style - not warm at all
Having worked at MEC for almost a decade, I am quite familiar with mid season jackets and all types of primaloft insulation. It is our third time buying this LLBean jacket and this version is definitely not 60g, way thinner and not warm at all !! My 12yo son, who never complains about the weather, was cold all week-end while camping and wanted to go back to his much "cheaper" Costco Spring jacket... Definitely not recommended, this jacket is a joke. LL Bean, bring back the older style or add insulation to this one !

Comfortable year-round layer
This is the "go-to" three seasons jacket for my 5-year-old grandson and 7-year-old granddaughter. The weight and warmth is perfect for a quick walk to the park or play in the backyard. Also a good light layer for travel and car seats.

Just so so.
We have had this for a few months. It's just ok. We bought these to replace a previous "packable" jackets that our kids outgrew. Those were slightly more substantial. I understand that primaloft can be warmer for less weight - but these are fairly insubstantial and look "deflated" compared to the product pictures on line. Overall they did OK - but definitely required our kids to layer a more protective shell over top of these and often wear a fleece underneath. And that's in moderately cold weather of 30 - 40 degrees.
Additionally the nylon used on the outer layer is more flimsy than the previous model. One kiddo caught it on a bush next to the side walk (not one with thorns) and that was enough to produce a small hole - which I repaired with a nylon patch and some fabric glue.
Not really the quality I expected - considering the price - and the previous model was superior.

Very nice.
nice quality and a good fit. The colors and patterns are not great. This LLBeans biggest flaw. I would buy more stuff if the colors and patters were more polished.

Grandson loves this jacket
Bought the blue version for my 5 year old grandson who mostly has to wear hand me downs. Liked the weight and sizing for a shorter normally chunky kid. (My sister who is in her 70's likes the fit and weight also.) It's now too cold to wear it - if he's too big next spring I'll get the next size up and give this one away. A great jacket.
